userPost
A real-time blogging platform — write posts, organize them by category, and see comments and likes update live, no page reload.
Project Intent
userPost is a learning project — a place to actually build the things I was reading about: auth flows, sessions, real-time updates, and relational data modeling, instead of just following along with someone else's tutorial. People can write posts, organize them by category, and browse what others have shared. The UI is functional and clean, but the real work happened underneath it.
System Capabilities
Trix editor integrated for writing rich-text posts without extra overhead.
Google OAuth 2.0 handles sign-up and login, with sessions persisted server-side.
Likes and comments update instantly over WebSockets, no reload needed.
Prisma schema and PostgreSQL indexing keep queries fast as data grows.
DevOps Setup
This is also where I practice the ops side — running it myself on Debian, with Docker for the environment and CI running tests on every push. Still learning as I go, but it's live and it works.
